Administrator and Developer for Dharmapala College & FWBO Central
In January, eight students embarked on the two-year, full-time, residential Dharmaduta Training Course. Since then we’ve launched a lively programme of residential study retreats for Order members and mitras, especially those working at centres. They’ve been well attended and much appreciated!
Our seminar and study leaders include Saramati (director), Sagaramati (resident tutor), Subhuti (spiritual director and tutor), Jnanaketu, Abhaya, Mahamati, Locana, Dhammaloka, Parami and others.
Our founding administrator, Kalyanaprabha, is leaving shortly. We’re looking for a replacement, to join Taradasa and Shantiprabha, the charity’s part-time accountant, and the core team, in administering and developing Dharmapala College and the Dharmaduta course. The job also includes some work for FWBO Central, and its chairman, Dhammarati.
You’d be working at Madhyamaloka, (which is still Bhante’s home), in a beautiful house with wonderful grounds, in leafy Moseley. Birmingham defies its reputation: it’s a good city to live, conveniently central and offers a good cultural life. There is a strong sangha, with a large number of Order members, a large and active Buddhist Centre, several communities and chapters.
Do you want to be part of a pioneering project? Are you interested in administration, publicity, maintenance, management, team-work, strategy and development, helping students, and hosting guests? Or perhaps you can think of someone else? If so please contact Kalyanaprabha or Taradasa on 0121 449 3700 or email: info[at]dharmapalacollege.org (replace [at] with @)
We’re looking for someone to start as soon as possible and are happy to negotiate a suitable support package.
